OPEN LETTER……*A Drop In The Ocean*

…….. I was praying that you and me might end up together

WELL…… where do I start!!

Haven’t we all had our share of heart breaks, disappointments etc. {if you haven’t count yourself lucky!}

While writing this post I had in mind my friends, most of them are going through hard times in their relationships and I realized this post might help those who would rather not speak about their problems. I’m old school so i believe a problem shared, is a problem half solved…

………..We often love and despite being mistreated by those we prioritize either emotionally or physically, we hope they will one day change,I call it misplaced trust, it’s like wishing for rain as you stand in the desert but you hold this person closer than most because at the time they are your heaven. But you know what!! The saying you kiss many frogs before u find your princess prince is true. A drop in the ocean, a change in the weather…..same thing I would say time passes, people change or who they really were resurfaces and the relationship comes crumbling down. A person who was the closest thing to you, your best friend becomes a stranger or a memory in the blink of an eye, sucks* ya?! but that’s the hand we are dealt with*

A letter to the people in relationships,friendships etc don’t accept mediocrity because of FEAR, of course it will HURT once u decide to walk away, you’ll be in PAIN but you know what!? It will pass and you will find that partner or friend who you deserve, who’ll treat you like the queen or king that you are!

‘The good times and the bad times both will pass. It will pass. It will get easier. But the fact that it will get easier does not mean that it doesn’t hurt now. And when people try to minimize your pain they are doing you a disservice. Don’t do that. The truth is that it hurts because it’s real. It hurts because it mattered. And that’s an important thing to acknowledge to yourself. But that doesn’t mean that it won’t end, that it won’t get better. Because it will.

The late Maya Angelou once said love is liberating… if the situation changes make it known, you’ll still love them even when they are not around you anymore.

Surprisingly enough I just saw this on Instagram as I was scrolling my feed while writing this post…

She told me, “I just want him to love me, respect me, treat me right and be a good boyfriend, am I asking for too much?…I told her NO you are just asking the wrong person. Go where you are celebrated not where you are tolerated’….Like JARROD WILKINS said ‘People will always violate what they don’t value!”

On the bright side there’s someone out there for you, for all of us so be patient and achieve your life goals first. Love and everything else will come your way when you least expect it to….. could be in church, during thanksgiving, a charity walk, class, ride on the bus etc

Kindly Leave a comment and let me know if I should once in a while write such real life situation posts… I welcome ideas of what other topics interest you.

*Hope it was a good read for most if not all of you!*
