LIFE IN A NUTSHELL 01
2016!!! We are only in April and I have to say I have seen God work in great ways in my life. The pictures on this blog post are different from what I post every other day. They seem to be personal and so I’ll get a bit personal as well.
When I started blogging somethings were just dreams! Photographers like Tintseh, Victor Peace were just people I followed and admired from a far and I never thought the sun would rise and they’d be taking pictures of me. Julie Gichuru was someone who I watched on TV and aspired to one day achieve half of what she has achieved never did I once think I’d get to meet her let alone work with her. When I heard people are at the Kenya School of Law I’d secretly make a prayer and hope that one day that will be me and that day did eventually come! Having 4K+ supporters on Instagram, Facebook etc to be honest was something I never thought I’d achieve. That’s why my goal for the year was 5K, something tells me we will achieve that sooner than I thought.
I always questioned myself, I’m I too outspoken, I’m I not pretty enough? wondering if people knew I try as hard as I can? But I have decided that won’t be me anymore, that is not the story I want my children(when I eventually get them) to live knowing. I want them to know their mama tried it all and had faith in herself! And well…..
I’ve learnt if you leave your plans to God, trust the process and always remember everything Good or bad happens to glorify his name then you’ll have a beautiful life. His got you! His got each one of us. Some of the things I might be grateful for may seem like small achievements to some, but never let that dull your sparkle! It’s your journey, you know where you started so only you know how far you have walked to be the person you are today. The year is not yet over and I know God’s blessings will continue to shower us in the years ahead.
With time as I learn to be more open on this space I promise to share more and hope it helps someone if not everyone.
So if you are going through anything that seems to break you, take a minute and breath, look back and see where you came from, in one way or the other you’ll see God’s work in your life. And follow your dreams!
I’ll forever be grateful to God, my family, all the people who have made it and are willing to help others come up, my friends and each one of you for being so supportive of my blog. All the comments you guys leave behind always make me smile because I know somebody somewhere appreciates my work.
